Reunited and it feels so good.....
About 4 years ago my husband took it upon himself to research the ideal buggy on the market for our impending arrival. He approached it much like you would buying a new car - manoevrability, style, suspension, 'the ride' were all mentioned. At the time, I couldn't have cared less; I was much more concerned about getting through childbirth with minimal trauma. A few months later, I grew to respect the hours of buggy research and LOVED my Bugaboo. Our first daughter slept in it downstairs with me during the day in her buggy, we then unclipped the carry cot in the evenings and popped her in our room and I loved my long walks around Dulwich park enjoying the smooth ride and the fact that I could load it up with tons of shopping! After years of overloading, we finally broke the chassis trying to get into the Nike Shop in Hong Kong, of all places. That was replaced, but by then I had fallen out of love with it, and up it went into the loft and a scooter (yellow, limited edition Micro Scooter) replaced it.
When the second little one arrived, I was rather excited about getting my once loved Bugaboo back in action, but that was short lived when we moved to the countryside and found it was a much better 'city' buggy (just wheel it out your front door and go) than an 'in and out' the car buggy. But a few weeks ago, I realised how much energy I could save pushing her around the house in the buggy, rather than lugging her from room to room with me. I can jiggle it when trying to get her to sleep and as I sit here typing, she is right alongside me looking rather pleased with herself.
It goes without saying that the mattress is adorned with all manner of fabulous sheets, and more than 4 years later, I still get a kick out of doing speedy one handed '360 degree turns' with it. I am once again, in love.
