Thanks Earls Court
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stall at the Earls Court Baby Show last weekend. We were in the 'Baby Boutique' section and sold lots of goodies, and I loved chatting to all the couples about their burgeoning bumps! I really do never tire of hearing all about what cot and buggy people have decided on and all about their plans for the new arrival. I also find it fascinating to hear about whether people know the sex of the baby they're having, where they're having the baby etc etc etc. I'm definitely in the right industry!
The favourite items from the show were definitely the 'London Toile' organic range, cowboy fitted sheets and of course the Love Mae stickers. Being an online store, it was lovely to actually get people's comments as they touched the stuff ("oooh (about the bedding) isn't it soft!) and I lost count of the amount of people that thought the Mae Woodland Scene was a hand painted mural!! Ha ha - the fastest hand painted mural in the land.
Still haven't got the studio into any semblance of order after lugging everything to West London and back - a major exercise in logisitics with an exclusively breastfed baby, 3 year old and house 75 miles away from the venue. Thanks to my dear hubby for helping us out and to our marketing guru, Lucy for holding the fort on the Saturday.
If you are in the market for a gorgeous changing bag, do check out the collection from Lin & Leo . These lovely ladies were my neighbours at the show and the punters could not get enough of their bags. Very very easy to see why! I didn't get much of a chance to look around the rest of the show (and to be honest I tend to find these kind of events pretty overwhelming), but hubby was totally smitten with Rokka Play , a new company making these wonderfully versatile contraptions, that morph into various playthings. I did find a moment to grab a top of the line Medela expressing machine and got the giggles when the man selling them produced a round fake boob to demonstrate the machine's function. I never grow up.....
