Quick Brown Fox of Dulwich was founded in 2009 by a woman, who had been searching for many years for a legitimate way to indulge her all-consuming love of fabric!
I remember so clearly shopping as a child with my Portuguese grandmother for fabrics as well as ribbons and buttons to festoon her latest creations. I just loved seeing all those bolts of fabric stacked up high in the old fashioned department stores, the way the assistants expertly handled the fabric and best off all taking my little bundle home to swoon over some more.
Quick Brown Fox started out hand-making cot and cot bed sheets using imported designer fabrics. In addition to an evangelical obsession with quality, we seek to provide bed linen and other fabric products that are - first and foremost - beautifully designed but, just as importantly, cheeky and ever-so-slightly nostalgic. Although we want to stand out from the generic bedding available for children on the high street, we really try not to take ourselves too seriously either. All our prints must appeal to small children, either through colour or playful imagery.
More recently, Quick Brown Fox has been able to design and produce certified organic cotton bed linen with a family-run Portuguese company (back to the roots!), and were commissioned in 2010 to produce a range of organic cot bedding for the very fancy Corinthia Hotel in London.
Also in our portfolio of hot fabric products is the Love Mae range of reusable fabric wall stickers. Whimsical designs from a talented Australian team which are produced in small quantities echo Quick Brown Fox's mission to produce age appropriate baby and kids’ products that appeal to children and parents alike.
Quick Brown Fox of Dulwich is currently online only.
Its headquarters recently moved from Dulwich to a Georgian abode in the beautiful north Essex countryside. The baby-dense streets of Dulwich nonetheless remain the Quick Brown Fox’s spiritual home and its heart is firmly rooted in good old London-town.
